Nevermind the 53,000 that Connecticut College had wanted from me. :/ Tuition on this chart only goes up to 6.5k, just like in the other chart you posted.  They’re on different scales.  The other chart is meant to represent that Tuition Fees are going up, while income isn’t. Not going to argue as far as the income vs. tuition thing goes, because frankly I’m too sick to look into it; I just noticed that both of them do show the same stats for Tuition fees, albeit they’re illustrated much differently. As for what colleges offer tuition for $2,500, in-state tuition at my school, which supposedly has one of the best English programs in the Southeast (while I don’t know if that’s true, I do know that we have some of the toughest professors and everybody pees their pants at the very mention of having an English major here), totals up to about $2.1k for a student running 12 hours here.  It was around 1.7k when I started, which was for any full time student, though they’ve changed it to by-hour instead of fixed rates depending on whether you were part or full-time now.  Total out of state tuition runs about $6.8k for 12 hours. Again, I really don’t know what fool only put this up at $6.5k, because my school is definitely on the lower end of the spectrum as far as price.  That’s why we have so many students do their core here before transferring to wherever they really wanted to go in the first place.  Did want to point out that they do exist though.  ;) And now I’ve exhausted my communicative abilities for the day.  Just gonna go get some more tea now.
